Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park offer visitors
a wide variety of cycling opportunities. The Park's 35,000
acres include 57 miles of well marked, car free, gravel carriage
roads. Weave your way through cool evergreen forests, around
crystal clear lakes,across handsome granite bridges, and
past lush wetlands.
Cruise the Park
Loop road-20 smooth paved miles along Maine's majestic,rocky
coast. Stop and enjoy Sand Beach. Experience Thunder Hole.
The views are unforgettable. We offer several
types of rentals. From our most popular; recreational bicycles,
perfect for the carriage roads and around town, to road bikes,
best for a ride round the Park Loop Road or a more challenging
ride up Cadillac.
All bicycles
have water bottle cages, and include helmet, lock, map andexpert
advice. We replace our fleet every year. For more information

in Acadia together. These are hybrid tandems, lightweight
enough to enjoy the Park Loop Road, yet strong and stable
enough to ride on gravel, the surface of the Carriage Road
